  I have eaten here and stayed here.
  Food lovely, staff extremely helpful. Beer brewed on site is not to be missed especially 'Gunner's Daughter' - amazing.
  
  The hotel/B&B is really comfortable, owners are friendly and helpful. There is safe car parking, there is even the option of charging your plug in electric car if you have one. Would definitely recommend this place for business trips or tourist trips to see the town.
  
  The town centre is easy walking distance from the hotel.

  Great decor and atmosphere, beers brewed on site with vats in the bar. 7 x b & b rooms, lovely rooms and cheaper than premier Inn! With great breakfast. Lovely Sunday roast. Nice to see a pub that still has character.

  Awesome stop on our bank holiday weekend road trip. Home made beer tasted great. Tried the 'Gunner's daughter' and would definitely recommend it if you like a darker, bit sweeter beer.

  Lovely place, full of character. Beer brewed on site and complimentary bottle of beer waiting for me in the room. Nice touch. Bed was comfy so got a great night's sleep. Shower nearly blasted my skin off which was great. Breakfast was excellent. The home made granola is very much recommended. Would definitely stay here again.
